Allen & his son · on the job
"I love helping others — that's why I chose this trade."
Most people dread painting. They hate the tedious prep, the dust from sanding, and the meticulous attention required to cut a perfectly straight line along the ceiling. I'm Allen, the owner of Al Paints, and I happen to love it.
I learned a good deal of this trade from my dad, working alongside him on paint jobs for years before I went out on my own. He taught me that painting isn't just about rolling color onto a wall — it's about the hours of prep that happen before a paint can is even opened.
I'm a family man through and through, and a God-fearing Christian. I love helping people, and this trade is how I get to do that — turning the place you live into somewhere you're proud to come home to. When I started Al Paints in December of 2024 to serve Wayne County, I built it to be the kind of small shop you actually want in your home: shows up when he says he will, does the work right, charges a fair price, and leaves the space cleaner than he found it.
Whether you're restoring a historic Victorian in Honesdale or updating a lake house near Wallenpaupack, my promise is the same: professional work, strict cleanliness, and a real desire to leave you satisfied.
How we operate
We don't do vague quotes. You'll receive a detailed, written estimate outlining exactly what is included, what products we'll use, and the final price.
Your home isn't a construction site. We mask floors thoroughly, contain dust, and pack up our gear neatly at the end of every day.
We use premium paints from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams, and specialized stains for log homes. The right product makes the prep work last.
